Foreman

Summary

The Foreman is a key figure in overseeing field operations, ensuring project execution aligns with plans, and upholding safety and quality standards. The Foreman will collaborate with Project Managers, guiding teams through project phases, managing resources, and ensuring efficient project delivery. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective communication, and strong leadership skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate field activities to meet project objectives safely and efficiently.

  • Manage project transition processes, resource allocation, and crew management.

  • Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.

  • Analyze project targets, cost summaries, and reports, providing insights to the project team.

  • Generate and manage project budgets, including initial budget approvals and subsequent updates.

  • Collaborate with pre-construction and project teams on procurement planning and execution.

  • Facilitate procurement processes, including generating requests for proposals and reviewing quotations.

  • Oversee material procurement, including quantity take-offs, scoping, and delivery coordination.

  • Participate in project financial reviews and assist in invoice approvals and coding.

  • Maintain technical records, including constructability reports, RFI's, and inspection records.

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate as-built records and project documentation.

  • Manage work package closure, punch lists, and project turnover processes.

  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract terms and regulatory requirements.

  • Interface with Safety and Risk Management to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.

  • Coordinate training requirements and track completion for project personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and project specifications.

  • Proficiency in mathematics including fractions, percentages, ratios, and geometry.

  • Familiarity with construction software such as Primavera, Timberline, and Vista.
